Are Skyrocket and Fireworks unrelated, or did they start life as the same screensaver based on the Skyrocket source code originally released in 2002? You decide...

Original README shipped with Skyrocket version 1

The Skyrocket screensaver is written for Windows 95/98/NT. It uses OpenGL and requires OpenGL hardware acceleration for optimum performance. If you don't have it, you'll see a pitifully slow framerate. Microsoft's DirectSound API is also used for the sound effects. I assume no responsibility for damaged speakers :) Just don't crank the volume up too much.

Since this screen saver is shareware, I ask for $5 if you decide to keep it. The address to send the money to is available when you run the saver.

It's only shareware, so there is no support available for this saver, but feel free to send comments and suggestions to me (Terry) at mogumbo@fcmail.com

INSTRUCTIONS: Just extract the .scr file from this .zip file using your favorite zip program. Place the .scr file in your Windows\system directory (Win95) or Winnt\system32 directory (WinNT). Then open your display properties window and you can activate this saver.
